The mission of the First Nation Healing Centre is to provide a community resource for women and children who are victims of violence.  The centre will provide a safe environment, housing with services for women and children, and we will address the women and children's physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual needs.  This holistic approach in a First Nation cultural setting will include counselling and advocacy for women, children and men.  We also act as a liaison with other resource efforts to reduce and prevent violence through programming and through the help of elders for support and traditional healing.  Staff at the centre will aim to increase the client's self-esteem and to empower them to heal and strengthen as individuals.
