• Accommodations from overnight to 50 days, subject
to clients needs and Centre’s policy
• Basic Needs, we provide food, emergency clothing,
and personal hygiene necessities.
• On-going supportive counselling
• Legal advocacy
Non-residential services include:
• Walk-in supportive counselling
• Advocate services to appropriate resources
• Women’s support group—Tuesday evenings
from 6 p.m.—8 p.m. 18 years old & up
• 24 hour crisis line, available within Manitoba
Region
• Clothing depot/ Donations
• Public education, presentations at request, in
an effort to promote an awareness about the
issues of family violence.
To assist Men
We provide services on a non-residential basis.
• Male counsellor is available Monday-Friday,
8:30am-4:30pm
• Walk-in supportive counselling
• Delivery of the Anger Management Program
• Community home-visits upon request
• Advocate services to appropriate resources
• Men’s support group, Wednesday evenings, 6-
7pm.
7 Week Healing Our Spirits Program: The program is designed to address the woman as a whole through a healing approach of the mind, body and spirit, issues of low self-esteem, lack of understanding of the roles of motherhood and their role in the family unit and understanding past issues that affect their present day life. Using the seven sacred teachings provides individuals with tools of empowerment and inner strength and the courage to rebuild their lives and reclaim independence that is rightfully theirs. It is through the seven sacred teachings that individuals awaken their spirit. The Healing Our Spirits 7 Week Children’s Program is a component of the 7 week Healing Our Spirits Program. It compliments the mother’s programming; the lessons within the child care program also focus on the 7 sacred teachings. The children’s program provides many experiences, opportunities, and time for children to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. We provide a safe and nurturing environment where children explore, experiment and use their natural curiosity to solve problems and learn about the world around them. The experiences and activities assist in fostering a child's self-esteem, self-trust, and positive feelings towards living a healthy
lifestyle. The program provides a learning experience that meets the needs of both the children and their mothers.
